If you're seeing this page, you may have have subscribed to DDG's updates. We've switched services for our updates page, so remove that subscription link wherever you put it as this will no longer be updated. As always, our updates can be found at our Home page. Payments upgrade: Added Amex/Discover
We're pleased to announce that we can now process American Express and Discover cards through Daydream Graphics. Until now, if you wanted to use these card types, you would have to check out via PayPal and use their site (though without needing an account). That was confusing, so we've brought it all in so it works alongside Mastercard/Visa.
We've done some testing with the new integration, but if you see a problem, hit the Contact Us button and let us know, if you would. We'll be happy to call you and complete your order, then fix whatever problem you may have encountered.Labels: site changes

New Cavotta art, and site updates
Matt Cavotta rolled up with new World of Warcraft art, and Magic: the Gathering illustrations to bring us up to date and current on that front. Along with a D&D illustration, he also brought with him some new Magic prints and White-backed Artist Proofs.
Many thanks to those of you who contacted me regarding continued ordering problems. It's always nice when a bank processor changes requirements without telling you what they are. Anyway, I've confirmed the problems seem to be fixed once again (only affected credit card payments).Labels: Dungeons and Dragons, Magic: the Gathering, Matt Cavotta, site changes, World of Warcraft

Gallegos' website has been revamped, with new art added, including a section devoted to original sketches, done as preliminary studies for his finished paintings.Labels: Gallegos, site changes

Bug fixes
Our shipping module has been refined, so the errors you may have seen on checkout (they allowed you to continue, but were unhelpful and often returned incorrect International Rates) should be resolved. The US Postal Service likes to change its code without telling folks.
As well, our checkout process has been refined a bit, and native credit card processing (absent for the past month or so) is active again--no going to PayPal to enter credit card payment (PayPal option is still active for PayPal users, as before). The page load speeds during checkout have improved as a result.Labels: bug fixes, site changes

Daydream Graphics welcomes Jim Nelson
It's been awhile since our last new artist joined us, but we are very proud to announce that Jim Nelson has joined Daydream Graphics. Jim has had a long and interesting career, and we couldn't bear the thought that he hadn't established a web presence yet to share his work with you. As with all DDG sites, it's starting out humble--we have 24 illustrations on view thus far, with plenty more on the way, and a wide selection of Magic: the Gathering Artist Proof cards available. Prints and other things should follow shortly--you know how sprawling our sites can start to get after awhile!
So, stop reading this text and go check it out!Labels: Jim Nelson, Magic: the Gathering, site changes, White-backs, World of Warcraft

Nielsen Star Wars and Magic
Terese Nielsen returns with some of the great Star Wars miniatures packaging she's been doing recently, as well as some new Magic artwork. Additionally, her site has been upgraded to 1024x768, and many niggling site-weirdness hopefully ironed out as a result.Labels: Magic: the Gathering, site changes, Star Wars, Terese Nielsen

Matt Cavotta site relaunch
With much thanks to Matt Cavotta, we've put together a long-standing total-site overhaul. Tons of work involved, but overall we've got bigger images, new Magic art, new prints and artist proofs, and vastly improved navigation and overall implementation. You're still reading and haven't gone over to see? For shame!Labels: Magic: the Gathering, Matt Cavotta, site changes

Furniture Rearrangement
There are a few very large updates coming down the pike, but in the meantime I did a little cleanup on Terese Nielsen's site which will be helpful to have done when we relaunch her site in not too long. Specifically, her massive white-backed Artist Proof card list is now sorted by set--as well, her older Magic art has been regrouped by block. Small things which promise bigger things in the future.Labels: site changes, Terese Nielsen

Site issues, and a sale!
(This problem was fixed and sale ended 3/22/08)
As some of you may have seen, the shipping calculator module on checkout has been busted and this has killed the checkout process. Simply put, the online ordering function of the site is down. This obviously is a big issue and we're working at putting it back together.
In the meantime...I'm going to go ahead and re-institute telephone orders (something I'd been meaning to do anyway). To place an order by phone you can call 828-333-4733. If you wanted to pay via PayPal, still call and place the order and I'll issue a PayPal invoice. If no one is available to take your order you may leave your name and number and we'll call you back.
By way of apology, I'll take 10% off your total purchase via phone orders until the situation is resolved.Labels: site changes

Dec. 15th, last day for Christmas shipping
Dec. 15th is the last day we'll accept orders that can guarantee a Christmas delivery within the USA (that day has probably passed for overseas collectors). We'll be here for orders after that date, but no guarantees!
As well, though I have some updates to post, I probably won't be able to get them all up before the 15th, so don't hold out waiting for last-minute additions!Labels: site changes

Holiday Update!
As I'm sure you've noticed, we've cleaned up this updates page and turned it into the homepage. Remember you can subscribe to this page on most modern browsers, portal homepages like My Yahoo, and RSS aggregators. The link is to the right, and it will let you know when significant updates occur. Give it a whirl!
Now then, Terese Nielsen has updated her white-backed Magic artist proof list with more 9th Edition, Dissension, Time Spiral and Planar Chaos and Future Sight cards.
RK Post has a few new prints and some with larger editions now available.
Gallegos added World of Warcraft white-backed artist proofs, and new paintings, more of which is detailed at his gallery.
Also available for some time but perhaps overlooked, right below this post you'll notice the link for recent additions: all items added in the last 60 days can be found there. It's a quick way to catch up.Labels: Gallegos, Magic: the Gathering, RK Post, site changes, Terese Nielsen, World of Warcraft

International shipping module being reworked
There has been a long-standing issue particularly affecting overseas orders where excessive postage was applied. We've finally figured out the issue and are working on it. In the meantime International Shipping requests may fail. We'll update this post as soon as functionality is restored.
Domestic shipping should remain unaffected.Labels: bug fixes, site changes

Warcraft, 10th edition update
Gallegos updates his site with a few new paintings. As well, we're premiering a new method of viewing enlarged images. We're excited to be able to implement it, and hope to make it wider spread. For an example, check this out! Also, his print selection has been updated--a couple of open edition prints (like Shock) have been retired for awhile, and some new ones added.Labels: Gallegos, Magic: the Gathering, site changes, World of Warcraft

Not Dead, Really
It's been a slower-than-usual summer here at DDG. The site can only be updated when there are updates from artists, and these have been few and far between really most of the year. It helps that traffic falls off during the summer, but perhaps you'd like to know that things are still going and updates are underway. Notably, we've just uploaded half of a Tucker update, increasing his site template to the new 1024x768 theme. Some new paintings will join that soon. Cavotta has shipped me files to construct a complete redesign of his website, which will also catch you up on his art goodness since his last update. There are some more Post prints to...post, and lastly, some new products have released featuring Gallegos art as well that we're eager to get up for you. So, enjoy what's here and stay tuned for more!Labels: Drew Tucker, Gallegos, Matt Cavotta, RK Post, site changes

Gallegos, bigger
Most of the main DDG hub (minus this page, ironically) and now Gallegos' site have been reformatted to 1024x768. As with RK Post's recent upgrade, most of the Gallegos site has had new larger and clearer scans uploaded for almost everything.
Now back to some new content!Labels: Gallegos, site changes

Bigger and better: RK Post
Times change, but Daydream is pretty conservative with envelope pushing, prefering to be accessible to the largest number of users. Now that 800x600 resolution viewers are dropping to near insignificant numbers, it's time to upgrade the site to 1024x768, the new standard for screen resolution. First up is RK Post, whose site has been enlarged to the new format, including over 50 images which have been made larger and clearer from our source scans! As well, his site has been cleaned up for a neater appearance on Internet Explorer. I run on Firefox and advocate its use, but IE is still a (shrinking) standard.
Other artists' sites, and the main DDG hub, will see similar size and compatibility upgrades in the coming months, along with similar image size increases where possible.
Not sure what screen resolution you use or how to change it? Click here!Labels: bug fixes, RK Post, site changes
